Home Insurance

Home insurance offers protection for insured events such as damage to your home or belongings. For example, if your house is destroyed or damaged by fire or flood, your insurance provider will pay to repair or rebuild your home and replace your belongings. Home insurance includes contents insurance and buildings insurance and you can choose to purchase these together from the same provider or separately.

Building and Contents Insurance

If you have a mortgage, it is a compulsory requirement to protect your property with buildings insurance. Your lender will insist on this as part of your mortgage agreement. This insurance will typically payout if your home is destroyed or damaged by fire, flood, subsidence and other disasters.

Contents insurance is not a mandatory requirement but a very sensible policy to have. With a basic home contents insurance in place, your belongings, furniture and fittings will be covered against fire, flood and theft. Some policies also protect against accidental damage and theft outside the home. For example, you can add gadget cover to your policy to protect against damage and theft.

Landlord Insurance

If you are a landlord, landlord insurance should be an important consideration. This type of insurance protects you against loss and damage resulting from fire, flood, storms, falling trees, theft or malicious damage. It can also cover you for loss of rent and home emergency callouts. Protect your investment and give your tenants the best experience possible by putting a good policy in place.

As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
